Hi, my name is Jonathan Casaus I am a wrestler from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have been wrestling for basically all my life now, ten years plus. I am a Junior at Atrisco Heritage Academy High School. I have a 3.0gpa and I am a 3x state qualifier and a 2X state placer, hungry for a state title. Now that I’m am finishing my Junior year, I am looking to wrestle at the next level in college. I will need to compete at big tournaments like Fargo and the Southern Plains ect. Attending these big tournaments, I will be seen by many different colleges, from D1, D2 and D3, NAIA. I have had one official college visit to a D3 college in Iowa and have a few more planned for this spring summer and fall. Although it is far from home, it was an experience for my parents and I.

 

I come from a family of six. I am the oldest of four. I will be the first person in my family to attend college. The cost for me to travel to these tournaments will be an expense for my family. I have listed the costs for just myself to attend some of these tournaments below..

 

Fargo, North Dakota: $850 includes entry fee, lodging, food, team gear and camp; travel costs are not included.

 

Turf Wars: Farmington,Utah: $350 Includes: Camp registration (Wrestlers can board for free with local campers or @ Benavidez residence during camp, Travel by van, Hotel and daily food credit in Utah. Fuel and Team fees are being paid by NMUSA.

 

Southern Plains: Mulvane Kansas: $600 includes: Registration fee, travel, board.

 

Super 32: Greensboro, North Carolina: The registration information is not posted yet but this tournament is one of the most prestigious high school tournaments to go to and has been a dream of mine to compete there since first finding out about it with I was about 10 years old.
