Jonathan Link is my son, and I have been his rock for much of his life. He has always been surrounded by love and support from me and my husband, who has bonded with him over the years. Jonathan is a brilliant, compassionate man who lights up any room with his humor and kindness. He has always gone out of his way to help others, whether it was offering rides to those in need or volunteering at the Salvation Army while balancing school and work. I even had the privilege of working alongside him as a Med Tech, where patients absolutely adored him for his caring nature.

This past year has been incredibly hard for Jonathan and his family. Just fourteen days before Christmas, he lost his job. Seven days later, his daughter was born, and on that very day, he suffered a bulged disc in his back and was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. Despite these setbacks, Jonathan did everything he could to keep his family afloat—liquidating his 401k, relying on his tax return, and searching tirelessly for work. He finally found a new job, but just four days in, tragedy struck again: his car's battery exploded and the only vehicle they had, burned to the ground while he was picking up his children from school. Now they have NO vehicle. To make matters worse, his wife's father suffered a severe head injury with multiple brain bleeds and has been in and out of the hospital, now his Mother in Law has fallen down the stairs and is in critical care, which is making it very hard to focus with everything going on already.

The money raised here will help Jonathan replace his vehicle, keep his family from being uprooted, and provide some much-needed stability so he can continue working and supporting his wife and six children. Look, my son is a good boy, and I know if given the opportunity and time he will be able to fix this situation—he just needs a little extra help given the amount of coalesced hardships brought down on his head. He is the rock for his family and with everything going on he is currently unable to provide, being the sole income this is very detrimental as you can probably imagine. If any of you have ever been in a rough situation, just think about how it feels as a mother to watch this happen to not only my son, but also my grandbabies. He deserves to be able to work and provide for his family at the very least. Just know each and every one of you who donates holds a special spot in my heart for helping my son!
