My name is Jonathan, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself and my family with a humbled heart. We have never been people to ask for help like this, but after the last year and a half, we truly do not know where else to turn. In that time, we lost my wife’s mother and her sister just 3 months later, and I also lost my job. On top of that grief and financial strain, we have been hit with medical issues, vehicle problems, a broken water heater, and now a completely failed AC system. Replacing the AC is expected to cost more than $13,000, and in the New Mexico heat, it has been incredibly hard on my wife and our three daughters. I work out of state, and carrying the fear of my family being without a safe, stable home while I am away has taken a deep emotional toll on me.
- Thankfully, I have found another job, but after losing so much income, we have fallen far behind and have not been able to catch up. We took out loans to try to hold everything together, but now those payments have become overwhelming too. We are behind on our mortgage and car payments, struggling with utilities, gas, and groceries, and we have received repeated warnings about losing our home and vehicles.
