Help Jonathan Keep Fighting
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tammy, and I am the proud mother of Jonathan Ivy.
Jonathan has been battling sickle cell disease since birth. He has spent many hours and days in the hospital. He couldn’t get a simple cold without ending up in the hospital. If you don’t know, sickle cell is an inherited blood disorder where red blood cells are abnormally shaped, which affects their ability to carry oxygen and flow through blood cells.
The most affected organs include the spleen, liver, kidneys, lungs, eyes, brain, heart, bones, and joints. Sickle cell can cause severe pain that immobilizes you and can even lead to major complications like strokes.
Jonathan’s sickle cell has affected his eyes, and as of April 8th, 2025, the day before his 28th birthday, doctors had to remove his right eye. For Jonathan to receive a prosthetic eye in 3-4 months, he will need $5,000. Medical insurance will not pay for this, due to them seeing it as a cosmetic procedure. So, we are asking for your help to get him his prosthetic eye.
Any money donated will be used for the prosthetic eye and any other medical needs.
Any amount you’re willing/able to give is greatly appreciated, and if you can’t donate, all we ask is for you to take a moment and share Jonathan’s story.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to read his story.
