Support Science Teacher Jonathan Foster & Family
Donation protected
Science teacher Jonathan Foster was diagnosed with a rare liver disease, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), over the summer that only occurs in 1/100,000 people and typically leads to liver cancer and a transplant much later in life. Unfortunately, doctors discovered that it had already progressed into liver cancer at the beginning of the school year. Jonathan has been undergoing treatment, consisting of radiation and chemotherapy, since the diagnosis. It was determined by his cancer team that the best course of treatment moving forward would be a full liver transplant surgery as soon as possible. Jonathan is currently on a waiting list for a liver transplant and expecting a call at any time. Once he receives a call and is scheduled for a liver transplant Jonathan will be in Salt Lake for two to three months recovering from surgery and being monitored by doctors. Jonathan’s wife will join him in Salt Lake to serve as his caretaker while the family stays with his two children, Amber (6) and James (4), in Bozeman. Please help us in raising funds to support Jonathan and his family throughout this process. Contributions will help cover medical bills, the cost of lodging and meals in Salt Lake, loss of wages, and costs associated with maintaining insurance while on leave.
