❤️ Sometimes, One Small Act of Kindness Can Change a Life

All summer long, I’ve been taking my dog, Bosco, to the park. And every day, I would see the same young man there.

He was handsome, kind, and always had a smile. He would wave, say “good day,” and go about his day. He never asked me for anything.

Then one day, Bosco decided he wanted to sit down and spend some time with him ❤️

So, I sat down too.

And that simple moment gave me the opportunity to hear his story.

His name is Jonathan.

Jonathan came to Las Vegas from Georgia several years ago after losing his entire family. He came here hoping to find a fresh start and an opportunity to build a life for himself.

He worked hard at a local gas station until he unexpectedly lost his job. Without a support system or family here to turn to, he eventually found himself living on the streets.

But Jonathan hasn’t given up ❤️

He recently found a brand-new job washing dishes two days a week, and he is eager to work more. We would love to help him get into a safe, stable apartment near McKee Ranch, where we can also give him additional work opportunities during the week.

And this is exactly what the mission of McKee Ranch is all about ❤️

Yes, we rescue animals and give them a safe and loving place to live. But we believe helping our community and helping people is just as important.

Jonathan doesn’t need someone to rescue him.

He needs someone to give him a chance.

A safe place to live.

A little stability.

A helping hand.

And the opportunity to work his way toward a better future.

If we can change just one person’s life, then every bit of this is worth it. ❤️
