Help Jonathan Buy Light Livestock Equipment

Donation protected

Some 14 years ago I was offered the unique job of becoming the Light Livestock Equipment coordinator. Very shortly after starting that title became Light Livestock Equipment Manager. Over the years I helped the company grow in many ways. From being one half of the "Fecal Fellas", (Dr. Steve Purdy and myself) traveling around teaching seminars mainly in the Northeast, to assisting in countless other seminars, auctions, pens sales and alpaca shows themselves. For years I have been the face of the business from CO, to NE back east and as far south as NC. I have customers that reach out to me from all corners of the world for their alpaca needs. Through the years my aspirations of one day making this portion of the Ward Lumber Co. business my own grew and grew. Some 4 years ago at the passing of my father the week of the CABO show it made me think even more about this. If I am to continue working the countless hours, and providing the customer service level that I hold so near and dear to my heart for all of the alpaca world, then I really wanted to make this my own. I work 365 day a year and answer customers calls at all hours sometimes day and night, at work or when exploring in the woods with my kids.

For the many people that may not know me, that I hope this reaches I want to say thank you so very much for your support. Any and every little bit that is donated will help me to continue to help you all. I I love my job and I love what I do supporting the alpaca industry. However most recently with company changes, (Ward Lumber, a worker-owned cooperative) I have decided to leave and pursue something different. However with the alpaca shows growing needs for "the panel guy" and equipment I have made a proposal to Ward Lumber to purchase the Light Livestock Equipment business in its entirety. Your donation will help me to secure the on hand inventory as well as the rental panel system that supports all of the eastern alpaca shows. So today I am reaching out to you, my customers, my family, my friends, the alpaca owners, the shearers, the vendors, anyone that I have ever helped. Lets do this together to continue to grow this great industry. I need you and you need me! i believe in my self and together will will not fail. Help me to help make my dream a reality. I also want to put up a warehouse and move everthing to my Farm, Brejon Ranch so that I have more time to spend with my family at home and continue to grow this into a family Business as the Wards have for 4 generations and more with Ward Lumber Co.

I promise to continue to work and serve your needs as I have for the past 14 years.

Thank you Sincerely

Jonathan Capen
