My good friend Jonah is a Black, trans 23 year old with a lovely, funny, creative, STRONG spirit. They have been through more in a short period of time than most of us could imagine experiencing in our entire lives, all while remaining kind and loyal.
In October they were let go from their tutoring job with no real explanation as to why. This came after they had to leave their home and family due to a highly toxic and transphobic environment.  Jonah deals with intense mental illness which, even in the best of circumstances, makes the realities of every day life a serious struggle. Additionally,  they have  been forced to postpone their top surgery for over a year now, forcing them to stay in a body that does not feel like their own. 

Jonah is currently depending on food stamps and unemployment money which isn’t nearly enough to cover basic needs + rent. They owe their landlord at least $8000 because of this and urgently need to pay him back. 

We are only asking for enough money to pay their landlord back. Please, please, please consider donating so that Jonah can experience some relief and can continue to live as the beautiful person he is.
