Hello, My name is Jonah Yang and I am a senior at Cleveland High School in Seattle, Washington. I was born in Chicago and have been playing frisbee since I was 4 years old, when I was introduced to the sport by my parents. When I moved to Seattle I played on the Beacon Hill Elementary School and Mercer Middle School teams, and have now completed my senior year at Cleveland High School where I have captained the last 2 years. I have also played for Seven Hills Ultimate at the Youth Club Championships and a season with Seattle BFG. Frisbee is an extremely important part of my life, allowing me to build connections with both my peers and adults across Seattle, and as I have gotten older, all across the country.
I was recently selected to play for Team USA in the U20 Mixed Division at the World Ultimate Championships (WJUC) in Logroño, Spain this upcoming summer! I was fortunate enough to attend the last cycle as a member of the Open Team where we won gold and many of you supported that experience. I am extremely honored that I have the opportunity now with the mixed national team to bring back another gold medal! Overseas travel and training can be very costly and I am asking for some help to support the financial aspect of this trip as this summer approaches. Funds would help to cover travel, housing, meals and fees for the trip. Donating would be greatly appreciated, as would sharing throughout your networks! Thank you so much for your support!
