Help Jon Williams with Medical Expenses

**Update 4/8/25 - We have confirmation that Jon is diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. While not curable, it is treatable.

This is a fundraiser for Jon Williams and his medical expenses incurred in the process of treatment. Here’s his story as far as we know.

Thursday March 27th Jon went to the hospital in Roanoke Rapids, NC for abdominal pain where they did some testing. They found a mass in his stomach, lymph nodes by his stomach are swollen, and quite a few spots on his liver. The gist we got from the ER doctors is it looked like cancer. He was transferred Saturday to ECU Cancer Center in Greenville, NC to get further testing and come up with a treatment plan. Saturday they did a chest CT, Sunday they did an MRI, and Monday the 31st he had an endoscopy where they took some of the stomach mass for biopsy. We did have confirmation that the stomach mass is indeed cancer. They will be doing a biopsy of his liver on the 7th to determine if the spots are also cancerous. Once that is complete, the doctors will form a treatment plan. 

His wife Leah has been traveling daily between Roanoke Rapids and Greenville to be with Jon. There have been some care baskets donated which have been very appreciated! 

We are unsure how long Jon will be away from work or what treatment will entail. We are also expecting there will be some expenses incurred for travel and food.
