Help Jon McDonald Get a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
We are raising funds on behalf of Jon McDonald, a devoted father, family man, and longtime pillar of our local select youth baseball community, who is courageously battling Stage 5 kidney failure, the most advanced stage of kidney disease.
At this stage, Jon’s kidneys can no longer function on their own. He currently relies on dialysis multiple times a week just to survive while waiting for a kidney transplant—his best hope for a longer, healthier life. Due to recurring medical complications and the demanding nature of treatment, Jon has been unable to maintain a consistent work and lesson schedule, placing an enormous strain on his financial stability.
Why We’re Asking for Help
The financial burden of kidney failure is overwhelming. Funds raised will help cover:
• Transplant-related medical expenses
• Ongoing dialysis treatments
• Critical medications before and after transplant
• Travel to and from transplant-related appointments
In addition, Jon is working toward securing stable, safe living accommodations suitable for both himself and his children during this incredibly challenging time.
Right now, Jon isn’t just fighting for his health—he’s fighting for the chance to continue living, coaching the boys he loves, and being present for his children.
About Jon
A 1994 graduate of Humble High School, Jon has been a cornerstone of the Humble-area baseball community for more than 24 years. After playing for the University of Houston Cougars and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Jon dedicated his life to coaching and mentoring young athletes.
Through his coaching, he has helped over 300 children advance to the collegiate level and more than 25 players move on to the MLB Draft. Jon has always been the one giving his time, energy, and heart to others—never imagining he would one day need to ask for help himself. But this fight is bigger than anyone can face alone.
How You Can Help
Jon has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of local families. Now, we have the opportunity to give back to the man who has given so much to our community.
Any donation—no matter the amount—brings Jon one step closer to a kidney transplant and a future beyond dialysis. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page is just as powerful and deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and kindness. ❤️
