I’m a long-time friend (and riding student) of Jon La Force. Jon has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He will be undergoing chemotherapy for the next 5-6 months, and his ability to teach and coach and earn a living will be severely impacted. Yet he will still have major medical and basic living expenses. Jon has been the most gifted teacher and riding coach I’ve ever known - and I think almost all his students would say the same thing. More than that - he is so incredibly generous with his time and talents, giving equally to beginners as well as FEI competitors. And most of all - to him the horse has always come first.
