It is with heavy hearts that we share some difficult news about our dad, Jon Holvik. He is currently facing a very challenging situation as his health has substantially taken a turn for the worse, requiring him to have 24/7 care in a skilled nursing facility. He is bed ridden and now on palliative care, and while we remain hopeful, we understand that his recovery is uncertain.

Our dad has always been there to support us, and now it’s our turn to support him.

Unfortunately, the cost of this level of care is incredibly high. His insurance is no longer covering his days in skilled nursing, and there is no one at home who can provide the necessary care around the clock. As many of you know, he hasn’t been able to work for a couple of years, and we are doing everything we can as his children, but we simply cannot cover his medical bills on our own. 

That’s why we are reaching out to all his friends around the world who know our dad, who know his caring and gracious heart and his quirky sense of humor through this GoFundMe campaign. We hope it can help alleviate some of the financial stress we are up against.

We understand that times are tough for everyone, but any contribution you can make would be immensely appreciated. It will help us provide our dad with the care and comfort he deserves during this challenging time.
