Carol and John's Home
During the early morning hours of April 7, 2018, John and Carol Wicherson awoke to a "popping" noise. They quickly realized their home was on fire and barely made it out alive. They suffered smoke inhalation and the home that John built himself, was lost. Everything in and around the home was also destroyed in the fire.
Carol and John have spent a lifetime caring for others. Carol has been a nurse's aid for over 40 years and has provided comfort to so many people in her loving and capable way. In addition to this tragedy, John has been dealing with significant health issues.
Carol and John are an inspiring couple who are focusing on the fact that they are so lucky to be alive. However, grappling with the loss of their home and all of their belongings has been overwhelming and traumatic.
