Jolyn is a determined and hardworking 26-year-old who has lived with bilateral severe hearing loss since birth. Recently, her implant stopped working, leaving her in complete silence. As her mother, I have always tried to support her, but now that she is no longer eligible for my insurance, we are facing a difficult road. Jolyn works two jobs, but neither provides benefits, and she does not qualify for any assistance programs. Despite her best efforts, this unexpected setback has left us searching for help.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward replacing Jolyn’s implant processor and covering the appointments needed to ensure it works correctly. Without her implant, Jolyn cannot hear anything, and the new device cannot be ordered until we can pay the full cost upfront. This situation is heartbreaking for both of us, as Jolyn is doing everything she is supposed to as a young adult, but this obstacle is simply too much to overcome alone.
