Help Jolie Recover from a Devastating Car Accident

On Friday, October 11, 2024, my sister was involved in a horrific car accident due to heavy fog and dangerous road curves. She is currently in the ICU at Harborview Medical Center, fighting through the aftermath of this tragedy.

She suffered 14 broken ribs, a broken sternum, compound fractures in both knees, and a broken ankle. So far, she has undergone two extensive surgeries—one lasting 7 hours and the other 6 hours—and will need many more months of intensive care. She is expected to stay in the hospital and later in a rehabilitation center for at least four months to rebuild her strength.

Right now, she is on medication to keep her body numb from the unimaginable pain. While we are incredibly grateful that she survived, the road ahead is long and challenging.

Due to the severity of her injuries, she will be out of work for the foreseeable future. Between medical bills, rehabilitation, and the cost of living during her recovery, expenses are quickly piling up.

This tragic accident was not caused by alcohol or reckless driving, but by an unfortunate mix of poor visibility and road conditions. It has turned our world upside down, and we are leaning on the kindness and generosity of others to help us through this difficult time.
