My name is Jeff Rhoades and I am starting a GoFund me for my younger sister, Jolene Rhoades. Jolene is a Siskiyou county native, a Mount Shasta High School graduate, and a current student and softball pitcher at College of the Siskiyou’s. Like many in this past year, Jolene has faced many personal challenges that have truly been a series of unfortunate events. From losing her home mid semester, struggling to keep up with the demands of a financial burden that still lingers from Covid, being diagnosed with non-epileptic seizures that have plagued her peace, to now having a damaged dental bridge due to an accident while at her softball practice. Throughout all of this, she steadily and consistently tackling oncoming obstacles and tried to find any way to make it work. She battled for what is important and will be receiving FIVE degrees (in three years) this spring, while also being a scholar athlete every semester of college. Jolene has showed up and overcome extreme odds while still being humble and private. Within this financial burden though, we need help. I believe we as a community can rally behind her and can support her and her journey to help her achieve those goals that she has worked so hard for, and is so close to achieving!
