Help JoJo Beat Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer

Hi, my name is Jatara Blair, and I'm raising funds for my Mama, Joanna Jordan-Robinson God Fearing Woman, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend. On Feb 15, 2022, after going in for gallbladder surgery, the surgeons noticed a mass that took up 80 percent of her gallbladder. Subsequently, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer that has metastasis to her stomach. For more than 50 years Jojo has helped so many people from inviting them into our home when they needed somewhere to sleep, to being the best dialysis patient care technician for last 25 years. I have watched her share her wedding day to feed the homeless and given her last to make sure others never went without the thing they needed.

JoJo desperately needs our help. She continues to sacrifice for her family and everyone she loves because that's just who she is and the way God made her. She has all faith in God our Father that He will bring her out of this with a major, life-changing testimony to empower someone else that may share in this same journey after her.

My mom has been out of work since Feb 15. She has exhausted all of her PTO and sick leave and, as of April 4th she has had to return to work in order to keep her employer sponsored insurance to pay for chemotherapy. Her current treatment regimen is for 5 hours every other Wednesday. After every treatment, she is required to wear a chemotherapy pump, or an infusion pump for 48 hours; essentially requires three days of consistent chemo treatments. Joanna's insurance is $978.02/month, not including living expensives, grocery bills - she has had to adjust her diet - and medication, medication that can get very pricey.

Although my mother qualifies for long-term disability, it wouldn't go in effect until she has been out of work for 180 days. Even then she is only entitled to collect 60% of her salary and will still have to pay the insurance out of pocket every month. The 180 day waiting period began on April 4, 2022. With the help of this go fund me, my family and I can take care of our mother and she will only have to worry about healing and not stressing for the next year.
