Joji is my 7 year old shiba inu, and he means everything to me. He’s a little skittish, but everyone who meets him falls in love with his sweet, independent spirit. Most of the time, Joji likes to keep to himself, but every now and then, he lets his guard down and shows his playful side cuddling up or sneaking off to play with his toys when he thinks no one is watching.
Yesterday, I noticed Joji pawing at his face and struggling to open his eye. When it didn’t get better, I rushed him to the emergency vet, where we learned he had acute glaucoma and dangerously high eye pressure. The vet acted quickly, and I’m so grateful that we may have saved his eye and most of his vision. But the bills have added up fast, with the emergency visit, medication, and several follow-up checkups needed to keep his condition stable.
The doctors heroic efforts to save his eye have wiped out my emergency savings. Any help with his vet bills would mean the world to me. I never thought something like this would happen so soon, and I’m so grateful for any support to help Joji keep his vision and stay healthy.
