Our beloved Joidee is in the fight of her life, and she needs our help.

In the spring of 2024, Joidee was diagnosed with Glioblastoma IDH wild type Grade 4, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. Since then, she has undergone more than 30 rounds of radiation and chemotherapy and has fought with unwavering courage and grace. Unfortunately, despite her brave efforts, the tumor has continued to grow and spread to other areas of her brain.

In the summer of 2025, Joidee underwent Gamma Knife radiation to address new tumors. While the procedure was a critical step, it came with its own set of challenges. Sadly, the main tumor continued to progress, and she switched to immunotherapy in September 2025. Shortly after, on September 11, Joidee underwent a Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT) procedure to try to stop the growth of the main tumor.

Although the surgery was a valiant attempt to halt the tumor’s progression, it led to loss of use of her right arm and leg, and she is currently facing significant cognitive challenges. Joidee has been in intensive rehab since the surgery, undergoing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. While she has shown some improvement, her journey is far from over, and she still has a long road ahead.

Why We Need Your Help:

Despite help from insurance Joidee’s medical expenses have become overwhelming, and the battle is far from finished. In addition to mounting hospital bills, Joidee will require 24/7 care moving forward and will most likely be unable to return to work. She will also need significant accommodations added to her home to help her get around. We’re asking for your support to help cover her ongoing medical bills, care expenses, and the countless hurdles she faces along the way.

Joidee is an incredible person. She is one of the most kind, charismatic, and thoughtful souls you’ll ever meet. Her positivity has inspired everyone who knows her, even through the hardest moments of her life. Joidee and Burke and their boys are fighters in every sense of the word. They are a team and they never give up and we want to help them know they are not alone in this fight!
