Help Johnstons after family house burns down
Donation protected
We are raising money for the Johnston family after their catastrophic house fire October 12th, 2021. Luckily everyone including their dog got out safely. Their cats are still unaccounted for as of the time of writing this.
Everything inside the house was destroyed: phones, laptops, car keys, wallets, purses, clothes, shoes, photos, paperwork and everything else inside the house. All of Lukes' work tools have been destroyed.
The family barely made it out alive as the fast moving fire swept through the home. Anna said that if Lara not noticed the smoke and come to wake them at 5:45am they would have slept right though. A fireman confirmed they only had minutes to get out at that point. They believe the cause was an electrical outlet, but they are waiting on the investigation to confirm.
Funds raised will go to support them as their long process of remediation and rebuilding begins. They will be displaced for up to two years, with a large insurance deductible and the costs of rebuilding their entire lives.
As the family is recovering from this shocking event, we hope this page can also be used give them space and to focus communications as they navigate the insurance claim & fire investigation process. So, if you can help out please do what you can, and please leave your messages of support here.
