Hi, my name is Jaina, and John is my dad.

He is a devoted father of three who has already been navigating immense health challenges. He has an autoimmune kidney disease and has been on dialysis for the past year, all while continuing to show up for our family with strength and determination. He is currently on the kidney transplant list, and this brain injury comes on top of an already long and difficult medical journey.

On Christmas Eve, my dad was rushed to the ICU after experiencing a sudden and severe headache. A CT scan revealed a brain bleed that had begun pooling on the right side of his head, creating dangerous pressure on his brain. Doctors acted quickly, performing emergency surgery to remove the blood and relieve the pressure.

Since the surgery, he has remained sedated and under intensive monitoring as his medical team carefully watches his progress. The days ahead are critical, and right now our focus is on his healing and stability.

I am hoping to raise money to help ease the financial burden during his recovery. These funds will go toward rent, basic living expenses, and medical bills, allowing our family to focus fully on his healing without the added stress of day to day financial strain. If there are any remaining funds, they will be used to support my dad’s ongoing recovery and care, including expenses related to his future kidney transplant and post surgery recovery.
