As many of you know I am currently in Port Orange, Florida studying at Palmer’s Chiropractic College. For the past 1.5 years I have been adjusting my classmates who are mainly young and healthy adults. Beginning in December 2022 I will begin to transition to the clinic. There I will be adjusting the local residents of Port Orange and the surrounding area. One day it may be some 40 year old guy who has been going to a chiropractor for a while to nurse some old injury. The next it may be someone’s grandma who regularly sees a chiropractor to help with her osteoporosis/arthritis.
In the meantime, I have been presented with an opportunity to help those who don’t have regular access to healthcare in the rural areas of the Dominican Republic. A mission trip group who regularly visits various 3rd world countries is taking a trip to the Dominican Republic on March 26th and I could use some help to fund the trip. If you have experienced the benefits of going to a chiropractor, I would especially appreciate your help. I will be there for nearly five days, and will have the opportunity to adjust between [phone redacted] citizens.
Also, if you do end up donating, a couple things. First off, thank you! And secondly, please don’t be anonymous. I would love to make a shadow box for this trip, and include all the names of those who donated so I can have it for my office in the future.
Side note, I despise asking for help. As my grandma loves to recall, my favorite phrase as a young boy was “I do it myself”. Originally, I was planning on donating plasma and just taking out even more loan money to cover the difference. However, for nearly a week my devotionals revolved around the Lord’s generosity. It wasn’t until I read, “The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it” that I finally caved. Please don’t interpret this as an act of laziness nor entitlement. This is me doing my part, because I firmly believe God wants to do His.
Much Love and Blessings
