Hello everyone.

I am writing to you to ask for help for my nephew, Johnny Perez.

John has been dealing with diabetes and complete kidney failure for the last 4 years. As a result, he recently had a double amputation, losing both legs in February, a few days apart.

We are trying to raise $5,000 to help towards the purchase of an electronic lift to get him in and out of bed, and an electric wheelchair.

Medicare did offer a simple lift but it did not work for him. John ended up falling twice and his parents were unable to lift him off the floor. With an electric unit he would be able to handle it by himself and it would be used daily. Medicare had also provided, some time back, a wheelchair. But with the double amputation, it is an uncomfortable fit due to the change in body positioning now needed and he struggles a lot in it.

In the past, Johnny, as our family calls him, worked hard and always offered his air conditioning and carpentry service and advice to friends.

As a Godly man, he would always offer a lending hand to anyone in need.

Now he is the one who can use a little help.

His spirits are high and he prays and worships God daily as he waits. Please help us help him. Any small amount can help us reach our goal. We understand not everyone can help but please join us in praying for this “young” man.
