Hi there! We are the crew of the new indie musical movie, Morton Meets The Eye. We have created this GoFundMe on behalf of our friend and colleague, Johnny. Johnny is an incredible human being and a wildly talented member of the wardrobe department!
A few nights ago, Johnny’s car was impounded - he didn’t realize he was parked in a no parking zone (if you live in Los Angeles, you know how confusing the parking signs can be) Due to financial limitations, Johnny’s registration and insurance aren’t up to date. Unfortunately, they will not let him take his car out of the lot until he updates those (while also charging $100 a day that the car sits in the lot.) Between registering the vehicle, getting new insurance, paying the initial impound fee, plus the fees accrued from it sitting in the lot, Johnny is looking at a completely unexpected $4000 expense.
As many of you know, the life of a creative is ever changing as you go from job to job and having transportation is crucial to keep up. However, the industry can also be financially inconsistent - especially during these last few years. As his friends and co workers, we want to help support Johnny with all of these unexpected expenses and ensure that he doesn’t lose his car. Any amount is helpful - no amount is too small! Thank you for helping support this wonderful person!
