I would like to take this time to introduce you to Johnny Kinser. Johnny has lived through many tragic events throughout his life but has always maintained his character and faith in God, believing that all things work according to God’s plan.

In 1977, when Johnny was just 7 years old, his middle brother was murdered. A few months later, his parents divorced, and his mother struggled deeply to cope with the loss of her son. As a result, Johnny had to take on many responsibilities as the head of the house at a very young age. In 1997, Johnny’s mother was diagnosed with throat cancer. Not long after, she suffered a stroke that left her disabled on her left side. At the time, Johnny was in college studying to be a minister, but he made the difficult decision to leave during his senior year so he could move his mother and his older brother—who is mentally handicapped—into his home and care for them. Johnny devoted the next 17 years to caring for his mother and brother until his mother’s passing in 2008. He has continued to care for his brother, who has his own health issues, including several heart attacks.

Johnny has given up his own life and happiness to take care of his family. Last year, he finally allowed himself to start living the life he had put off for so long. He fell in love and became engaged in October of 2025. He got a loan and bought a home for himself and his fiancée, even though the house needed a lot of repairs. Johnny spent his savings fixing up the home, which is still not finished. He had a promising job offer and was preparing to start a new chapter with his wife-to-be.

Then, once again, tragedy struck. About two weeks ago, during a routine MRI for what was thought to be arthritis, doctors discovered a tumor the size of a grapefruit on Johnny’s peritoneum. A biopsy revealed that Johnny has cancer. Due to his diagnosis, he was unable to take the job he was offered, as it would have required him to be away for several weeks at a time. Now, this man who has spent his entire life taking care of someone else is facing his own battle. Johnny starts chemotherapy on April 20th and needs your help.

All his medical expenses are continuing to increase by the day. The house payment, utilities, insurance, and the expense of caring for his brother have not stopped. Like his medical bills, they continue to pile up. The medical bills are expected to climb much higher, and he still must have surgery, so the total cost is unknown. His medication is very expensive and will continue to increase as his treatment progresses. Johnny has spent his life caring for others, and now he needs help from his community. Any support you can offer will make a difference during this incredibly difficult time.
