Hi, I’m Johnny Baxter Sr. My 12-year-old boy, Johnny Jr., has been diagnosed on Sept 25, 2025, with APML Leukemia, a blood cancer. If you're not familiar with it, it's a serious condition. As y'all know, we have a long road ahead of us. If everything goes right and we fight it and hopefully win, we're looking at 1 year or a little longer for treatment. And as y'all know, bills don’t stop, and traveling back and forth from Mississippi to New Orleans and to Golden Meadow takes a toll on finances. Being out of work since the diagnosis does not help, so I’m asking for a little help, even if it’s just prayers for a healthy recovery or a few dollars if you can spare it. If you have a honey-do list, I can work. I’m a carpenter by trade and have a background in electrical work. I’m pretty much a jack of all trades and master of none. I’m willing to work; I don’t just want handouts, but anything would be a blessing. So if you need work in a responsible area from me, I got you. Johnny Jr. is 12 with a full, amazing life ahead of him and wants to get back to school so he can play football (Golden Meadow Lion #66), offensive line and defensive player. He’s a real enthusiastic, adorable, big kid that wants a second chance to accomplish his life goals and get back to being a normal kid. So any help of any kind will be appreciated.
