Help Johnny Dobrzycki get a wheelchair van

This is my brother "John Thomas Dobrzycki Jr".  On September 19, 2005 he turned 50 and 8 days later a major, life changing, debilitating stroke hit him. He had taken a vacation to the Tampa Florida area. It came on so suddenly. Several tries of the clot bursting medication were administrated but nothing helped. He was air lifted to Tampa General hospital where several cranium bones were removed in order for his brain to continue to swell. It was the only measure that saved his life.

Life for him has meant living without bones over his skull to protect his brain. To have bones replaced in his skull became considered plastic surgery and was now completely out of pocket.

Fast forward to now, 16 years later.

Johnny has worked so hard to maintain the motion he gained in the therapy sessions he received. His wife, Virginia, and him have struggled to maintain their financial resources. This stroke has been a real life changer. It has taken everything from them.

The need right now is for a mobility van. Johnny has lost the strength and ability to transfer from his wheelchair into his car. He desperately needs a the type of van a wheelchair can drive into. He has many doctors appointments that he must get to. Just last week he fell transferring into the minivan and now needs help from wound care to heal this new, deep wound.

If they can gather the help of about $10,000.00  they could afford the payment for the van.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
