Help Johnny Bravo Thrive in His Forever Home

Hi! My name is Genevieve, and I am the previous foster for Johnny Bravo. His adopter is the perfect match for him. Now, we're looking to raise funds to get him on-leash training through Roaming Rovers to help Johnny be forever successful in his adoptive home!

Johnny Bravo's Background:

Johnny was brought to Cincinnati Animal CARE in September of 2024 as a stray. While on-site, he struggled with anxiety and stress of the environment. On November 19, 2024, I took Johnny to foster following his neuter surgery.

Johnny did very well in our home since day 1. He came potty- and crate-trained. He is very food motivated. He played great with our resident dog. We knew we wouldn't keep him forever, since that would mean we couldn't foster any longer.

Johnny was adopted in mid-December, and he was returned after less than 72 hours for pulling on leash and being too much for the resident dog. We took him back to foster immediately, even with conflicting upcoming holiday travel. With the help of several temporary fosters, Johnny never had to spend a night in the shelter.

We marketed Johnny online for a few months. I brought him to My Furry Valentine - a megaadoption event - to see if he could find his forever there. Finally, on Valentine's Day, I threw together a social media post that blew up; it was shared 1.2k times on Facebook. This is where Johnny's now dad comes into the picture.

Johnny's dad had been contemplating getting a dog for a while. After a morning of back-and-forth messages and videos of Johnny being shared, Johnny's potential adopter came to meet him. It was all history after a 20 minute meet and greet. His dad made it official shortly after at the shelter. The next day, Johnny's new dad's birthday, Johnny went home to forever. Johnny's been just what his dad never knew he needed!

Now, to help Johnny further succeed in his forever home, we are raising funds to get him on-leash training through Roaming Rovers. Any additional funds will go to the care and upkeep of Johnny in his new home. His new dad is very invested in his future, and wants only but the best for him.
