Help Johnny Attend Zodiac Music Academy

My name is Johnny Azpuru and I am currently a Master's student studying clarinet performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

My journey as a musician is not just a pursuit of skill or success—it's an expression of my soul. The love for creativity, the yearning for self-expression, and the power music has to bridge hearts and minds is what keeps me going every day. Music, for me, is the language of the heart, a way to share emotions and stories that can only be felt, not explained.

I’ve been given so many opportunities in my life, and each one feels like a step closer to turning my deepest passion into something I can turn into my living. I am beyond grateful for these moments, and even in the challenges, I feel incredibly fortunate. These experiences aren’t just shaping my career—they’re shaping who I am as an artist and as a person. To be able to share this journey with others, and inspire even one person through my music, is everything I could ever hope for.

In the past years I have been fortunate enough to attend the Prague Summer Nights Festival and the Belgian Clarinet Academy. It is summer programs like these, that fully allow musicians to develop and learn under alternative instruction from someone other than the student’s primary professors here in the US. Although programs like these can range anywhere from a week to a few months, they are completely intensive and fruitful to a young, pre-professional musician.

I am thrilled to announce that this summer I have been invited to attend the Zodiac Music Academy & Festival in Valdeblore, France from July 2nd - 15th. This program is a solo and chamber music intensive where I would receive several private lessons, chamber music coachings, performance opportunities, specialized classes/clinics and even more possibility to learn and flourish as a young musician. At the Zodiac Academy, I would receive instruction from one of my idols, Kliment Krylovskiy.

That being said, I am seeking financial assistance for this program. I will be putting donations towards my cost of attendance and the flight. Anything helps and a little can go a long way. Thank you for helping me achieve my dreams.
