Help Johnny and Arlene Through Tough Times
Donation protected
If you have ever met Johnny and Arlene Chancellor, then you have had the pleasure of meeting the most honest, caring, God-fearing people ever. They are true salt-of-the-earth people who love their community, their family, their church, and God with all their hearts.
They have been through the wringer lately. Over 3 weeks ago, Arlene fell and broke her ankle. While getting it looked at in the emergency room, they said she had the flu. She was sick, couldn’t move, and was tired.
She had to stay at the hospital a little longer due to being so sick that it took over a week to get her foot addressed. She was moved to a rehabilitation facility to get her strength back and get physical therapy.
My poor uncle Johnny never left her side but to come home, shower, feed the cat, and tend to household things. Arlene is his best friend. They do everything together. He was beside himself because his beautiful bride of 61 years needed help.
While running errands, he had a pretty good fender bender, and his truck is damaged. He must have it repaired but is hoping they don’t total it.
Arlene kept declining while in the nursing home and had to be rushed back to the emergency room. There were many issues that were causing her decline. She had a distended bladder, kidney failure, pneumonia, and they said her gallbladder needs to be removed immediately!
With her being so sick, she had to be stable to have the gallbladder surgery since it was the more problematic thing that she was facing. Three days later, they were able to perform the surgery. But lots more was found than they expected. LOTS OF ISSUES. Her gallbladder had become infected and was dying, but luckily the doctors were able to clean out all the infection. She has early stages of cirrhosis of the liver (not due to drinking) and they found a hernia that is going to need to be repaired soon.
Since having the gallbladder surgery, she hasn’t really improved. Her health is weak. She has been put on a BiPAP to help oxygenate her blood. The doctors are trying to keep her off painkillers to get that out of her system, but she is in pain. They are hoping this long medical road will soon come to an end, but it seems they keep taking detours and finding more issues.
They have had it tough. Johnny is constantly worried about his heart. His heart stays in A-fib. He is having a procedure done in the middle of March. Things keep piling up, just like the hospital bills, doctors’ visits, rehabilitation facility charges, gas back and forth, eating cafeteria food, and deductibles for getting his truck fixed.
If you have it in your heart, please help them financially. Please pray about it. They would want you to. This GoFundMe is for them to worry less about money and focus on healing and helping Johnny be able to be right by his bride’s side.
Every dollar raised will be given to them and every donor will be shared with them, so they know who supported them. If you leave a comment or prayer, I will print those out as well for them to know where it came from and the support and love you send.
If you can’t financially help, I ask for you to keep them in your prayers. It is all by the grace of God as to why they are here today.
