Hi everyone,

As some of you may know, my fiancé Johnathon (Holten) was recently diagnosed with bilateral osteonecrosis of the femoral heads—meaning that the bone tissue in both of his hips is actively dying due to a loss of blood supply. Without medical intervention, this condition will continue to worsen and cause permanent damage, severe pain, and disability.

Right now, 40% of his right hip is already dead, and 20% of his left is affected. He’s facing the very real possibility of needing at least one total hip replacement, if not more. We’ve been working with imaging centers and labs privately through a chiropractor just to get a diagnosis and rule out any autoimmune or blood clotting disorders, which are the typical cause of this—but now we need to find a surgeon, and possibly hospital care, to prevent things from progressing. As of now his condition is deemed “ idiopathic” meaning “no known cause” and is why we need a doctor better suited for his situation.

Unfortunately, we are completely uninsured, and we’re trying to find a doctor or hospital who offers sliding-scale or charity-based care. But even with help, there are still costs for consultations, imaging, medications, mobility aids, labs, and travel to specialists—on top of daily expenses.

Johnathon is also working to resolve past legal issues, and trying to stay on the right path—but everything is piling up financially, and we just can’t do it alone.

Any donation, no matter how small, would go directly toward:

• Medical bills (consults, imaging, surgeries)

• Medication & physical therapy

• Mobility aids (cane, crutches, etc.)

• Transportation to medical appointments

• Application and document fees

• Legal fees connected to clearing his record so he can rebuild his life
