At the end of January, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, an autoimmune disease that has completely turned my life upside down. My hemoglobin dropped to 6.7 and I was passing out, which was terrifying for both me and my daughter. This past month alone, I spent 15 days in the hospital, unable to work and feeling sicker than I ever have before. The doctors have had to give me two blood transfusions, along with iron, antibiotics, and steroids, just to try to calm things down until I can get the right medicine. Unfortunately, my insurance is making it very difficult to get the medication I need, and the bills are piling up fast.
On top of all this, I am the sole provider for my 16-year-old daughter. With no income coming in, I am struggling to cover our rent, food, gas, and medicine—just the basics to keep us going until I can get back on my feet and return to work. I have always taken care of things on my own and never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help. But right now, I am in trouble and truly don’t know what else to do.
If you are able to support us during this difficult time, it would mean the world to me and my daughter. Thank you for reading my story and for any help you can give, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this with others. Your kindness and support will help us get through this challenging chapter.
