Please Help John Zara's Family Recover After Helene

My name is Joanne Zara Morgenroth, and I am reaching out to the Facebook community in hopes that you will consider donating to a worthy cause close to my heart. My nephew John Zara, his wife Stephanie, and their two small children, Luca and Jack, experienced something no one should have to. They lost everything they owned when Hurricane Helene overtook their North Carolina home with raging flood waters. The scene was horrific.

The water came so fast there was no escaping it. They had to swim to the laundry room window, get out of the house, and get everyone on the roof. They prayed for rescue as they watched the water continue to rise. 911 was not an option. I cannot imagine how helpless and scared they must have felt. Finally, some good samaritans in Kayaks were able to get them to safety. For this, we are filled with joy. Words can’t describe how I felt when I heard they were okay. Completely overwhelmed with emotion is an understatement. Family is everything.

As stated above, they lost everything they owned and had no flood insurance. As they start the long, tedious task of trying to rebuild, they desperately need monetary assistance. Please donate whatever you can to help this young family get a new start in life. This is an opportunity to help someone who truly needs you; you know the money will go directly to them.
