Help John with medical and nursing home costs
Donation protected
For most of my life I have been a "giver" in one sense or another, from spending eight years serving in a monastery to providing a home and care for my disabled brother for thirty-three years. These were my own decisions and I made them without considering compensation or future consequences. Never did I expect to be in a position where I would have to ask for help for myself. But that's the situation I find myself in now. At age 75, I find it necessary to swallow my pride and ask for help. Kidney disease, a series of infections, and unsuccessful back surgery left me in a nursing home for over a year. Before long my health insurance coverage was exhausted. Though I have been able to go back to my home, I no longer have income or resources sufficient to cover my hospital bills, nursing home charges, medical equipment rental, or other unanticipated expenses that thus far have exceeded $40k. I would be most grateful for any help offered. Thank you for your consideration.
