Help John Williamson Keep His Home

Donation protected
Hello there,
This is John Williamson. As much as I do not want to ask again, I am in serious need of any assistance you're able to give. I was able to defer it for a month, but rent is due on the 30th, and without your help I will lose my home.

I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, I'm on the Autism spectrum, and I was somewhat recently also formally diagnosed with Agoraphobia. As a result, I've had great difficulty my entire adult life holding in-person work, suffering panic attacks and strong thoughts of SH. I am not proud of this and I want to be able to live independently. I do not want to ask for your charity. I know everyone is struggling right now.

Conversely, I have found great success when able to work remotely. I did very well working remotely with a local company in 2022 and even had coworkers recommend me for a promotion, which I received! Unfortunately, this company shifted back to in-office work shortly afterward and I began to struggle again. I lost that work, and was forced to pull out my 401k from a previous role, as well as several lines of credit, in order to sustain myself while looking for a new job.

Through the support of your donations in Fall of last year, I was able to remain in my apartment and find more remote work that I thrived in. I was promoted a month in at this role as well. That work, however, ended prematurely due to a funding decision from my employer's client, leaving me unemployed toward the end of March. I was told my employer wanted me on further work, but even with me maintaining regular contact with them, nothing has materialized yet.

I've been applying left and right to many promising roles, and I have actually heard back from one application recently, but assuming that works out, I wouldn't be earning income until next month. Hopefully others will reach out before then with something that can be started sooner. I will be receiving a small amount of assistance from an immediate family member, but my wider family is largely unable or unwilling to support me financially or emotionally.

New medication and continuing therapy have helped me cope somewhat, but I had to discontinue the latter for the time being due to losing my insurance. I was beginning exercises to alleviate my agoraphobia with therapist, and was also exploring getting a GP again (I haven't had one in years due to my financial instability), but that also had to be pushed to the wayside after being let go so abruptly.

I've been selling my possessions, both in order to raise money for rent and to afford insulin for my type 1 diabetes. It will help, but it won't be enough. In order to remain in my home, I need to raise around $500 more.

I have done nothing to deserve your kindness if you choose to donate, but I ask that you please do so if you are able. Please do not feel obligated, especially if it comes at the cost of your own well-being. Anything you're able to contribute is extraordinarily appreciated, and I will be doing my damnedest to ensure this sort of fundraising is not necessary in the future.

If anyone, donor or not, has a lead on any legitimate remote work ( but more specifically in administrative support or something similar and especially in the legal field), please let me know if you can.

Regardless of anything else, I thank you for reading this.
