If you have been to the DoubleTree in the last 20 years, you definitely know our good friend, John Williams. His contagious smile and uplifting personality have made him both a guest and team member favorite. John’s inspiration for life comes from his wonderful family and friends, who have instilled in him the power of prayer along with treating others with generosity and respect. His time in the Marine Corps is where he dedicates his knowledge of discipline and brotherhood that he has taken with him ever since. In his free time, he likes to socialize with friends while listening to live music, watching sports, or playing a few games like bean bags or pool. He enjoys cook-outs and traveling whenever possible, and is a grandfather of two beautiful girls. Like most of us, John has seen his fair share of hardships, but this time, he needs our help. John was diagnosed with prostate cancer in November of 2021 in addition to the need for double hip replacement, which he will proceed with starting February of 2026. During his recovery, John will be unable to work for at least 3 months. This will leave a tremendous burden on his financial stability when attempting to pay for his medical bills as well as his cost of living. We hope that this fundraiser will give John the inspiration he needs to keep moving forward, as he has helped so many of us do in the past.
