Hi, my name is John. This is honestly very hard for me to write. I’ve never been someone who asks for help—I’ve always tried to handle things on my own—but right now I’ve reached a point where I don’t have many options left. My wife is currently dealing with a serious medical condition, and at the same time, I’m facing two separate surgeries in the next 20 days—one for my eye due to macular degeneration, and another for a carotid artery procedure. Because of all of this, both of us are out of work, and we’ve suddenly lost our only source of income. We’re doing everything we can to stay positive and get through this, but the financial side of things has gotten overwhelming very quickly.
Right now we’re trying to keep up with rent and basic bills, food and daily necessities, medical-related costs during recovery, and on top of that, our only vehicle is currently not working, which has made it even harder to get to appointments and manage day-to-day life when we’re already stretched thin.
I don’t like asking for help. This is completely outside my comfort zone. But I also know I can’t let pride put us in a worse situation when we’re just trying to get through a really tough stretch. We’re not looking for anything beyond getting through this period—just enough to keep a roof over our heads, keep the lights on, get to medical appointments, and focus on healing and getting back to work. If you’re able to help in any way, it truly means more than I can put into words. And if you’re not in a position to donate, even sharing this would help us more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any support, prayers, or kindness you can send our way. — John
