I’m John Wayne, and I’m starting this fundraiser for myself and my household. I am 73 years old, a 90% disabled Army Veteran, and I live on a fixed income in an unincorporated area of Homosassa, Florida. Right now, the AC in my mobile home needs to be repaired or replaced, and I simply do not have the money to cover the cost. My income is enough to pay my regular bills, but there is nothing left over for savings or emergencies like this. Without air conditioning, the heat inside my home becomes brutal, especially here in Florida.
These funds would help restore a safe and comfortable temperature for me, my wife, and my brother-in-law, who both live with me. It would also help prevent black mold from becoming a problem, which is important for keeping our home clean and safe. I am no longer able to work because of physical limitations with standing, walking long distances, or even sitting for long periods. Before that, I served as an Army Combat Medic/Corpsman and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. How your support helps: repairing or replacing our AC would make our home livable again and protect our health. If you are able to give, please consider helping us through this difficult time. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, would mean so much to me. I would be deeply and forever grateful.
