PLEASE HELP JOHN TRIPODI AND KIM ALLEN

Those who know John and Kim know how difficult the last five years have been. Kim battled breast cancer and came through swinging. However, prior to the pandemic, Kim and John were made aware of toxic mold lurking in their home from water damage. The inhalation of the carcinogenic mold may have caused Kim’s TNBC, and her odds of recovery with these toxins in her system are low. Kim and John have been poisoned by odorless, invisible toxins from behind the home’s walls. The problem began in 1993 when misinstalled windows permitted water to enter. They have been battling numerous health problems for years. But it wasn’t till 2020 that the source was discovered- BLACK MOLD!

In January, they were forced to evacuate their house and move into a motel while their home underwent professional mold remediation. But as the walls were opened and more and more mold was discovered it became apparent that their entire house needed to be gutted and most of their possessions discarded. As it presently stands, there is nothing left in the house but one room with hardwood flooring. The kitchen, three bathrooms and all other flooring have been removed. They are both battling CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome) and are allergic to the outdoor air, making it impossible to pitch a tent in their backyard. They both are in dire need of medical attention at a clinic which specializes in mycotoxin poisoning.

The life saving medicines and the care they require is not covered by health insurance. The progression of John’s illness prohibited him from studying remotely in his senior year. He did not graduate with Chariho High School’s Class of 2021. His brain is so inflamed with Gliotoxin that he has difficulty standing or completing simple tasks. While Chariho seniors were able to return to their classrooms, participate in sports, the prom, and graduation ceremonies, John has been bedridden and without the medicine necessary to heal. Please help John recover because without proper treatment his diagnosis is potentially death resulting.

The bills for the life saving medicines and doctors are piling up. Kim’s muscles, tendons and teeth are deteriorating. The Trichothecene in her bloodstream is the most toxic of all the molds and is harming her liver. She has been John’s caretaker for the past year since they were quarantined together due to Covid, but she has become too ill to continue this role.

It is now time to get them proper lodging and care. The small hotel room they have been sharing for seven months has no kitchen and their house needs to be rebuilt, so when they finish treatment they have a home to go back to. Homeowner’s insurance did not cover the cost of mold remediation and there are no funds to rebuild. Between medical care, temporary lodging, and home reconstruction they need to raise at least $130,000. Please help them return home safely and be free of this life threatening illness. Anything you can donate to help restore their health and get them home would be a blessing!
