Hi, my name is John Sylvera, and this will be my third year competing internationally for Team USA. Powerlifting has been one of the most important parts of my life; it’s taught me discipline, passion, and how to keep pushing even when things get hard.

Last year, I had the amazing opportunity to become a world champion, and this year, I’m working harder than ever to defend that title. This might be my last year competing at this level, and I’m hoping to go out with a bang.
