My brother John. He’s just 16 months older than me. 62. Just diagnosed with end-stage liver cancer, along with other complications. It came out of nowhere, unexpected. He’s got less than 2 months, if that. He will likely lose his mental faculties fairly soon. He has worked tirelessly supporting his family his whole life, his wife and two girls. He never took vacations or treated himself to anything special. He has always been a simple guy with simple needs. A barefoot hippie at heart. He lives in Denver. He won’t live to see the summer in Denver. His girls now live in Costa Rica. I want to get him there to spend his last days on a beach, smoking a big fat doobie, listening to the waves breaking on the sand, feeling the ocean breezes, being with his girls, his reason for living, being a barefoot beach hippie for his remaining days, as he so deserves. But he is unable to fly due to possible blood clots. He must travel by land or sea. So I want to raise at least $5k-$10k to cover expenses to get him there safely, comfortably, and quickly. Time is of the essence. I myself am barely surviving financially or I would happily cover it myself.
