Help John Restore His Smile, His Voice, and His Health.

For over a year, John Phillips has quietly battled excruciating dental pain, chronic infections, and sleepless nights — all while continuing to pour his heart into others through the very gifts now under attack: his voice, his health, and his calling.
John is more than a friend, a mentor, and a leader — he’s a singer, a preacher, and a faithful servant who has spent his life using his voice to uplift, encourage, and point people to Christ. But now, the voice that has been bringing comfort, conviction, and hope for years is being threatened by overwhelming dental and health issues.
John’s calling began at just eight years old, during one of the darkest seasons of his childhood. Hiding in his family’s orchard from an abusive father, he lay in the tall grass, looking up at the clear blue sky. The clouds floated peacefully above him, birds sang overhead, bees buzzed by — and then, in the stillness, John heard a voice.
It wasn’t imagined. It was so real, so tangible, that he looked around to see who had spoken.
The voice said, “You’re going to sing for Me and speak for Me around the world.”
John asked aloud, “God, was that You?” And God replied, “Yes — you’re going to speak for Me around the world.”
That moment changed everything. And God has fulfilled that promise.
Over the years, John has used his voice to glorify God in powerful ways — recording albums, preaching in prisons, speaking at the White House, and ministering across 48 states and 16 countries. His testimony, his worship, and his words have touched countless lives.
But today, John is facing a battle he can’t fight alone.
He has had all but five of his teeth removed over the past few years and endured repeated infections. He’s seen five different dentists across North Carolina and Tennessee, exploring every option — from a $48,000 implant procedure to basic $4,000 dentures. But for someone whose ministry depends on his voice, dentures simply aren’t a realistic option.
“This isn’t about vanity,” John says. “It’s about healing. It’s about being able to sing again. Speak again. Smile again. It’s about doing what I was made to do.”
After prayerful consideration, John has chosen a permanent solution: a specialized dental implant surgery that will restore his health, confidence, and his ability to live out the calling God gave him in that orchard so many years ago.
Thanks to a generous donor and support from his church, part of the cost has already been covered. But approximately $24,000 is still needed to fully fund the procedure.
This is where we come in — as his friends, family, and community of faith. If John has ever encouraged you, prayed with you, made you laugh, or reminded you of God’s love through song or sermon, would you consider helping him take this step toward healing?
No gift is too small. Every prayer, every dollar, and every word of support matters.
Let’s surround John with the same love and encouragement he’s given so many of us — and help him step into this next season whole, healed, and ready to speak and sing again.
