Hi, my name is Cameron, and I'm raising funds for someone who means the world to me—my grandfather, John.

John isn’t just a grandpa. He’s a husband, a father, a great-grandfather to 13 (yes, 13!), and to me… he’s been like a dad. My constant. My rock. My calm in the chaos. A retired carpenter and lifelong history buff, he built his life with strong hands and an even stronger heart. For over 40 years, he and my grandma Robbie have built their home, their family, and a legacy of love.

Now, I’m asking for your help to keep that legacy from slipping away.

On March 18th, everything changed. What started as a sudden health scare turned into a cascade of critical medical emergencies. Grandpa John had to have a liter of fluid drained from his chest. Then came double bypass open heart surgery. As if that weren’t enough, complications from the medications led to part of his colon dying—and needing to be removed.

He’s now undergone five major procedures in just three weeks.

He’s still in the hospital, and will likely remain there for another week or two as he begins the long road to recovery. And through all of this, there has been little to no communication from insurance. My grandma is already preparing to sell their home of four decades to cover what might not be paid for.

We can’t let that happen.

I’m trying to raise $20,000 to help relieve the crushing medical burden. This will go toward:

Any uncovered surgery and hospital expenses

Home recovery supplies: mobility aids like a walker, safety rails, etc.

It’s hard to put into words what this man means to me. He gave me the kind of guidance, strength, and safety that every kid deserves—but not everyone gets. And right now, I just want to give him one thing in return: peace.
