Hello, my name is John. I absolutely hate asking for anything, especially money. For the past 56 years, I have done a good job of taking care of myself. I try my best to help anyone that needs it; I always try to be there when anyone needs me. I have worked in the healthcare industry as a pharmacy technician for the last 18 years. I love helping people. Last year, I was promoted to store manager, and I was so excited about the challenge. Unfortunately, at the beginning of this year, I had to step down due to health concerns. I ended up picking up a second job to make ends meet; I lost a considerable amount of money when I stepped down. Things were starting to turn around for me, and then the following happened.
On Friday, 8/29, I was involved in a very bad accident. The accident occurred on a dark road at night. I was driving with a group of other cars when I suddenly and without warning came upon a car that was literally parked in the middle of my lane of travel. I had zero time to react and collided with the car. My car was totaled. The owner of the other vehicle had irresponsibly abandoned the car in the road and was nowhere to be found. The police later found him. I suffered many injuries, including a pretty bad back injury. A week after the accident, I went back to work because I had to in order to try and pay some bills. Unfortunately, I have not been able to return to my second job due to the PT, doctor's appointments, and the lack of a vehicle. I have used everything that I had saved for various things: medical, transportation, rent, etc., since the accident. The main reason I am asking for help is to pay my rent, medical bills, and possibly buy a very cheap used car or at least put a down payment on one. Thank you for your time and for listening to my story. God bless you all.
