Help John Rebuild His Family's Life in Liberia

Hello, my name is John Nugba, and I am humbly asking for your support during one of the most difficult transitions of my life.

I am an immigrant from Africa who came to the United States about 10 years ago in search of a better life for my family. During my time in America, I worked hard, obeyed the law, and built a life rooted in responsibility and hope. I am a husband, and father of four children, two of which are U.S. citizen children, and a small business owner running a junk removal and disposal business in Minnesota to support my family.

Recently, my life changed drastically when I was arrested by ICE while returning from church on Sunday January 25, 2026, in St. Paul, Minnesota. After careful consideration and to avoid prolonged detention and uncertainty for my family, I made the painful decision to opt for self-deportation.

This decision means that my wife and children must relocate with me to Liberia, West Africa—a place I have not lived in for about a decade. Starting over is overwhelming. My last 2 children were born and raised in the United States. My wife and I are now facing the emotional, financial, and logistical challenges of rebuilding our lives from the ground up.

To begin again, I need help with:

· Shipping our household belongings back to Africa

· Relocation costs for my wife and two children

· Establishing basic housing and stability upon arrival

· Using my work equipment and tools as a startup foundation so I can earn an honest living and support my family in Liberia

The funds raised will allow me to ship essential items and create a new beginning—not luxury, but survival, dignity, and stability for my family.

I am not asking for handouts. I am asking for a chance to rebuild.

Every donation—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others who may be able to help.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this difficult chapter of our lives.

With gratitude, John Nugba
