Help John Peabody Fight CLL
Donation protected
Hello my name is Heather and here it goes…
My stepdad, John Peabody, was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia (CLL) and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
My goal is to help raise money to alleviate the growing mountain of medical bills and help cover living expenses for John while undergoing his chemo treatment. He has been unable to work since December 2021.
Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia is a slow growing blood cancer. Since John’s diagnosis in 2019 he has suffered from four strokes, had one heart repair surgery, and has had several ambulance rides for a variety of continued ailments.
Just before Christmas John’s CLL decided to rear its ugly head which was only 6 months after recovering from his PFO closure (heart surgery).
In December we learned his lymph nodes had DOUBLED in size because the cancer was attacking his lymph nodes. This caused John tremendous pain for weeks, infections, blackouts, loss of appetite, loss of weight, loss of balance, dangerously low blood pressure and many more side effects.
John started chemo treatment January 23, 2022 in the comfort of his home. The weeks leading up to chemo were not easy. The first few weeks have shown new challenges as well. My mom (Debbie Peabody) has had to miss work on several occasions to help care for John in the recent 2 months.
John has been a part of the CT American Pool Players Association (APA) for 13 consecutive years as a Team Captain. Winning several division championships; John has built an incredible circle of friends over the years.
Friends close to John say he is honest, loyal, wholesome, caring, always a great joke & story teller, kindhearted, outstanding pool player and above all one of the hardest working guys you will ever meet! ❤️ He is also more giving to others than for himself.
PLEASE consider helping my stepdad thru this incredibly difficult time. It has been a burden to pay all medical bills, insurance payments, basic living expenses, and to keep the household running not being able to work. Let’s help alleviate some of that burden so he can focus on his treatment and the road to recovery.
His friends also say John is someone you can ALWAYS count on!
Let’s show John Peabody he can COUNT on his friends! ❤️
