My name is Kurt P. Helgerson, and I am raising money for my friend John Paul Ssebirumbi. This is for him PERSONALLY as he has just been admitted to a hospital in Uganda and found to have a 2 cm primary liver cancer, stage 1. At this stage and size it is able to be surgically removed but their system requires payment before they will even schedule surgery. They need $4,000 (14000000 Ugandan shillings).

John Paul has been an advocate for the local orphans in his hometown of Jinja, and people who have seen my GoFundMe requests before know of this and his heart for those with fractures and other needs. Now it is our turn to help him, if you have the funds and can find it in your heart. I hope you can. His 2 year old daughter, Elizabeth, and his betrothed wife, Rahma, need him at home and back to work at the job he just got about two months ago.

Update: he is at the Uganda cancer institute within Mulago hospital. He is getting more nauseated and we need to move up his surgery. Anything you can spare I will match.

Yes. The doctor who carried out the surgery said i will be fine. The tumor was removed.
