Help John Mohr through this difficult time

Hi my name is Dawn Reynolds and most of you know me as Johns ex-wife and mom to his two amazing kids Phillip and KenLeigh. We are starting this go fund me for someone we all care deeply for our friend, dad, brother, son, John Mohr. He needs our help in a bad way and he is to proud and humble of a man to ask anyone for help. So I am reaching out to all his friends, family, my friends and family and asking that you read his story and please if you can find even $5 to spare any little bit will help. John and I have not always been on great terms, but in the last few years we have found that even ground and we are now friends and yes I can say that. He is even friends with my current hubby Brian. My kids need there dad to get better, they want to see him live a long life and get around without needing assistance. He really needs support both emotionally and fiancially. He needs to know that there are still good people out there and people who still care about him. I am going to share with you what is going on and hope that you can find it in your heart to give a little.
In June of 2021, John Mohr was diagnosed with a rare but serious condition in his right foot
called Charcot. Charcot affects the bones, joints, and soft tissues of the foot or ankle. The bones
become weak and can break. The joints in the foot and ankle can dislocate. If not caught in its
earliest stage, the joints of the foot collapse and the foot eventually becomes deformed. A
deformed foot can cause pressure sores to develop in the foot or ankle. An open wound with
foot deformity can lead to an infection and even amputation. John has been dealing with this for
over a year now. He has been in and out of the hospital several times in the last year because of these sores that appear on his foot. After he was finally diagnosed properly, the surgeon stated that his charcot is
profoundly far along and if not corrected soon, there is a high probability that John will have to
have his foot amputated. The surgeon scheduled him to have surgery on January 3rd, 2022.
This is a very serious surgery for John. He will be required to stay in the hospital for 4-5 days
after that he will be placed into a rehabilitation facility for about 2 months. After that he will be
required to continue with intense outpatient rehabilitation. John will be out of work for 6-9
months. He is not eligible for disability so he will not have any income for those months that he is out of work. If any of you have seen him lately you see how he struggles to walk and this has him in intense pain everyday. He still keeps going, pushing ahead.
Please let me know if you can help in anyway. He means the world to alot of people. We want to see him get back on his feet literally and figuratively.
