Help the John Michael Ramirez Family Now

Through his life and career John Michael Ramirez has given greatly to the people his life has touched. As a music industry professional, as a performing musician, as a man of faith, as an athlete, as an entrepreneur, and as a person engaged in the cultural improvement of San Antonio, the long roster of people who call John a friend is a testament to the impact he has made within our community.

A dear colleague, mentor, and friend, John’s presence is readily felt by everyone who encounters him. Part of the staff at Guitar Tex and father to Spacetone Music's Dausin Ramirez, John has given to all of us in innumerable ways. His absence is deeply felt. For all his presence and performance, John valued his privacy and who did not want to burden people with the difficulties in his life, so news of his passing comes as shock.

After some time of discomfort and waning strength John went to see his doctor. This resulted in a cascade of additional doctors visits, evaluations by specialists, and tests. He was diagnosed as having stomach cancer complicated by pancreatic cancer. He suffered a rapid and unanticipated decline and passed away on July 10, 2024.

In an effort to aid John's wife Francin and their family we are launching this GoFundMe fundraiser. Any amount will help.
